AWS Python Developer

Job Title
Responsibilities
- Build Python applications, APIs and automation scripts on AWS environments to support data defense initiatives like classification and tagging of cloud data assets.
- Builds automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning on AWS cloud environment.
- Creates proof of concept for data security and classification initiatives.
- Maintains third party solutions to help with data defense and DLP initiatives.
- Translates technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients.
- Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation.
- Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.
- Explains technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients.
- Performs systems analysis activities.
Qualifications
- Python development (including boto3) - 5+ years, AWS – (s3, lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB etc., ) - 5+ years
- Strong 5 – 8 years’ experience in AWS solutioning and backend/API development.
- Strong AWS services experience including s3, lambda, DynamoDB, Glue catalog, CloudFormation, IAM, SNS, tags etc.
- Strong hands-on development experience in Python and Boto3 library
- Experience in maintaining third party or custom build solutions on AWS infrastructure.
- Strong experience with CICD tools.
- Experience with DLP tools and or Data classification efforts is a great plus.
- Experience in Data Privacy /Governance is a plus.
- Experience with EKS/containers is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
