This hands-on Shift Lead for Forgotten Angels Retail Operations in Pearland, TX directs daily sales floor activities, manages inventory flow and mentors staff/volunteers. This active role requires leadership and dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and fully stocked shop.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Staff & Volunteer Management: Train, develop, and mentor staff, volunteers, and community service individuals to maintain productivity. 
• Merchandising & Sales Floor: Ensure the sales floor is fully stocked, clean, and shoppable, including managing the display of furniture, rugs, and specialty items. 
• Customer Service & Support: Lead by example in providing excellent service, assisting in different areas. 
• Logistics & Runner Duties: Direct the movement of sorted/priced merchandise from back-of-house to sales floor and assist with heavy furniture/donations at the donation receiving door. 
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment. This includes sweeping aisles, clearing safety exits, organizing storage areas, and ensuring proper lifting techniques. 
• Inventory Flow: Review every section of the store to ensure shelves are "full" and product is displayed to meet merchandising standards. 
• Merchandising Active: Identify gaps on the sales floor and pull new products from the back as needed to maintain a fresh selection. 
• Facility Care: Conduct regular walkthroughs to check that all areas, including bathrooms, are clean and stocked with supplies. 
• Safety Checks: Ensure each area is clear of hazards and safe for our team, our "Angels" and shoppers.

Requirements 

• Previous retail, cashier or supervisory experience preferred. 
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. 
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends. 
• Ability to stand for long periods. 
• Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally more with assistance.
