Supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities, routines, and individualized care. Builds positive relationships with children and families, maintains a clean and safe classroom, and closely observes and documents each child’s growth and developmental progress. Works collaboratively with families and teaching staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care and learning experiences are provided. Our teachers are responsible for posting photos and videos of each child throughout the day on our Parent Engagement App.ResponsibilitiesProvide relevant experiences for children each day that encourage development in all domains, while also providing structure and routineTeach foundational skills with a large focus on social and emotional developmentOur teachers have the ability to use teaching methods, styles, and strategies that are unique for them while incorporating a play-based curriculum modelOngoing documentation including progress reports, behavioral tracking, injury/incident reports, monthly goals, and observationsWork collaboratively with your classroom teacher and other teachers within our programCommunicate professionally with parents/caregivers, administration, early intervention specialists, and community partnersAssess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestonesCreate a calm and emotionally supportive environment, while continuing to address your own self-regulation and what you are contributing to the climate of the classroom.QualificationsMust be 18 years of age and olderMust pass a Background Record Check at hire and every 3 years followingExperience in child care is ideal, but not required (we are willing to train the right person)Preference in hiring is given to those who already have or would like to pursue teacher certificationStrong understanding of child development, classroom/time management, and ability to set priorities to meet the children's needsExcellent verbal, and written communication skills (our program uses ProCare Parent Engagement App)Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
