About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Four 10-hour shifts, days, call - nights and weekends Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Must be able to work in PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2. Description: This position involves caring for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Nursing staff will follow established guidelines to ensure patient safety and comfort. There will be a maximum of 2 patients per nurse in Phase 1 and a maximum of 3 patients in Phase 2. Staff is expected to work collaboratively with team members for optimal patient outcomes. Weekend and holiday shifts are required approximately every 8 weeks. On-call shifts are typically 3 to 4 times per month, with a 30-minute response time. Most on-call duties involve minimal disruption after 7 PM. Nursing staff will have access to support resources, including respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. Charting will be performed using the EPIC system. A floating policy restricts staff to this department only. Floor-specific orientation will include 1 to 2 shifts with a designated preceptor.
