Retail Banker II- PT

Office Location Abilene, Texas, United States Scope and Contacts Incumbent will primarily perform teller and/or personal banker duties. The role involves frequent face‑to‑face, written correspondence, and telephone contact with customers and bank employees. Must exercise good customer‑relations skills at all times. The position may report to more than one officer and requires frequent interaction with other departments to provide full banking services. Essential Functions Process deposit and withdrawal transactions in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures. Handle a range of financial transactions, including phone inquiries, treasury tax and loan payments, savings bonds, loan payments, mail deposits, safe‑deposit boxes, and other retail service transactions. Provide customer service by selling and servicing all account products (checking, savings, certificate of deposit, IRA, check orders). Cross‑train in image‑capture processes. Actively participate in the customer‑service‑first sales and service culture, support the organization’s values, and follow established bank policies and procedures. Travel periodically to Abilene or other bank regions for training. May work Saturday and holiday hours in accordance with branch operating hours. Minimum Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED, or college degree; or twelve months of customer‑contact and sales experience. Preferred banking experience. Strong communication and sales skills. Basic math and general business knowledge as normally acquired in high‑school. Typing and calculator proficiency. Commitment to accurate, timely, and courteous customer service with flexibility and judgment. Willingness to work flexible and extended hours as required. Experience with teller machine, calculator, keyboard, encoder, image‑capture/scanner, Oscar (ATM cards), SEI Trust System, Streamline, and Vertex software. Proficiency with basic office applications such as Word and Excel. Ability to perform above‑average physical effort. Travel to Abilene or other bank regions for training as needed.
