Deputy Project Controls Lead

Position Overview The Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) Organization, part of Corporate Engineering, delivers new and renovated capital assets around the world. Our mission is accomplished through a highly leveraged organization of design, construction, and qualification contractors. Many of the assets delivered focus on manufacturing medical innovations and supporting expansion of existing medicines. Key Objectives / Deliverables Project Control Management: Partner in leading project controls teams for large capital programs of at least $500MM USD or more that are business‑critical. Serve as an independent lead for project controls to ensure compliance with standard processes, driving consistency. Manage all aspects of project control on major capital projects, including cost, schedule and resource planning, contract strategy, change control, risk management, monitoring costs, auditing payments, contracts management, forecast and cashflows. Lead and train project control teams to deliver business objectives. Ensure proper application of Lilly finance policies on capital projects. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's in business management, finance, engineering, construction, or related area. Minimum 8+ years of experience in project controls on major industrial or manufacturing projects. Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Lilly will not provide visa or work‑authorization support. Additional Preferences Professional certification from a project control body such as RICS, AACE, or PMI. Proficiency with project management systems such as SAP, Oracle Unifier, Primavera P6, Deltec Acumen Fuse, @Risk. Advanced understanding of financial concepts, estimating, cost management theory, project change and risk management, project planning and scheduling, and work & cost breakdown structures. Capacity to lead through influence to achieve results. Ability to lead others through coaching. Strategic thinking with long‑term view. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Self‑disciplined, motivated, able to work with limited supervision. Excellent problem‑solving and innovative thinking. Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside state or country. Compensation and Benefits Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $66,000 - $171,600. Full‑time equivalent employees are eligible for a company bonus.
