Position: Nursing Director or Nurse Manager

Location: York, ME

This full-time position requires overseeing inpatient care within the medical/surgical units and ICU. The selected candidate will be responsible for leadership and operational management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care while maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing leadership and operational oversight for the medical/surgical units and ICU.
• Utilize sound human resource and financial management principles to guide nursing services for patients and families.
• Support comprehensive patient and family services through collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Work with physicians to implement policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to facilitate optimal nursing care.
• Assume 24-hour responsibility, authority, and accountability for patient care activities and service operations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required; Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Current licensure in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact licensure, in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Specialty and leadership certification preferred.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, based on a standard 13-week contract.
