Breakfast Host

Responsible for maintaining and promoting hospitality at all times; welcoming and serving our guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner. Breakfast Attendants will be the first point of contact for our guests in the morning, and will play a major part in ensuring that their day starts out right. Breakfast Attendants will also be responsible for preparing food, clearing all tables, maintaining and up-keeping the breakfast area, and keeping all items stocked for the duration of breakfast.

Requirements:

• Exhibits strong customer service skills, including multi-tasking
• Must be able to begin work by 5:30AM
• Be outgoing and engaging with our guests to ensure a great breakfast experience
• Open to cross-training and assisting in other departments as necessary
• Must be capable of high-quality food cooking and preparation for each morning breakfast
• Approved Food handlers certificate required

Specific duties include the following:

• Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times
• Prepare and cook breakfast foods on a daily basis, following all Marriott required standards
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area
• Setting up and breaking down breakfast area, including proper storage or disposal of any leftover items from breakfast
• Keep all food items stocked, organized, and maintained during breakfast
• Maintain organization and food safety standards of all food storage areas
• Use first in, first out policy with all food items
• Promptly, effectively, and empathetically assist with guest requests
• Be very knowledgeable of Marriott Rewards program and promotions
• Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, and amenities of the hotel
• Be knowledgeable of the local area, including: shopping, entertainment, and dining
• Complete any other related task given by manager
