The forklift operator will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve supplies and materials. Qualification Standards:• High school or equivalent• Preferably one (1) to three (3) years of experience in specified skill• Must pass Turner Qualification written and practical exams• Able to strap load to forks via ratchet strap or similar device• Some job sites may require further NCCER certification• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation• Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection,safety harness with lanyard, etc.)• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace• Must have a valid driver's licenseFunctional Requirements:Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, or gasoline operating equipment; must have a valid driver's license; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may be required to manipulate equipment on unleveled working surfaces; may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment; and maintains a clean and safe work area.Compensation:Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.Benefits:Depending on your employment status, benefits include health, dental, vision, life, ADD, voluntary life / ADD, disability benefits, leaves of absence, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, telehealth access, and employee assistance program.Physical Involvement:Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting ; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correctionTurner Industries is an equal employment opportunity employer.
