Responsibilities
- Perform production MIG and flux core welding

- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about job status, issues, or quality concerns, and participate in ongoing training as needed.
- Work consistent overtime as required, typically up to 50 hours per week, including additional hours after scheduled shifts.

- Previous experience welding structural steel beams or working in a structural steel fabrication shop.
- Familiarity with working on a variety of projects such as commercial buildings, institutional facilities, and industrial plants.
- Comfort working with large steel beams, including material up to approximately 2 inches thick and over 50 feet long.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support and collaborate with other welders in a small-shop environment.
- Self-motivated approach with the ability to manage tasks and productivity with minimal supervision after training.
Why Work Here?
You will join a small, tight-knit welding team where your contributions are visible and valued. The company emphasizes open communication, reliability, and mutual respect, and it invests in training and skill development for team members who show initiative and commitment. You can expect steady hours, consistent overtime opportunities, and exposure to a diverse range of structural projects that help you grow your welding and fabrication expertise in a supportive, production-focused environment.
Work Environment
Both first and second shifts are available, with first shift running from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and overtime typically scheduled after regular shift hours, resulting in around 50 hours of work per week. The environment is production-oriented, with limited capacity for extended on-the-job training, so prior production welding experience is important. You will have your own welding workstation and use MIG and flux core welding equipment, grinders, and standard measuring tools such as tape measures. The dress code requires long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and steel-toed boots; you should also have your own welding hood and steel-toed footwear with appropriate metatarsal protection. The shop culture values showing up consistently, communicating openly, and supporting each other, and in return the team offers training, guidance, and a stable workload.
