Operating Room (OR) Technologist
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Operating Room (OR) Technologist is available. This role involves working within a dynamic operating room setting, providing essential support to surgical teams.
Position Details
- Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
- Shift Length: 10 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role required
- Orientation: Unit/Department specific orientation with HR and OR leadership
Required Qualifications
- BLS Certification
- Current Washington State license (no pending licenses will be reviewed)
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
- Must have cardiac experience
- One year of scrubbing experience in a surgical setting
Responsibilities
The OR Technologist will support various surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
- Gynecological, Urological, Vascular, Plastic, Orthopedic (total hips/knees), Neurological, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General (Breast, HPB, Bariatric), Sports Medicine, and Kidneys (including kidney/pancreatic transplants).
- Perform duties associated with scrubbing for a wide range of complex cases.
- Assist with the operation of robotic surgical systems, specifically the DaVinci Xi for Gynecological, Urological, and General surgeries.
Scheduling Requirements
- Four 10-hour shifts with variable days from Monday to Friday.
- Start times will vary between 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, or 11:00 AM, with consistency for the same week.
- Call requirements include one call per four-week schedule, with weekday call starting at the end of the shift until 7 AM the following day, and weekend call is 24 hours.
