Job Description

Position Summary:

The Fund Accounting Operations Corporate Action Analyst will work as part of the Corporate Actions Operations team, focused on production related activities, ensuring all actions are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This will entail performing a series of check list tasks to confirm we have released all applicable actions on or prior to the effective date of the action. This is a high paced environment that requires individuals to keep up with the daily demand and to escalate issues in a timely manner. We are seeking a detailed oriented individual that has strong communication skills both verbal and written. We work with and impact multiple teams so the communication must be clear and well presented.

Core Responsibilities include:

Daily adherence to check list tasks to ensure full, accurate release of corporate action notices

Ability to learn how to research actions using internal and external data sources

Resource needs to be inquisitive and ask questions if any given task is unclear

Escalate any issues or problem items in a timely basis

Manage daily volume

Ensure daily output maintains department/team standards for quality and timeliness

Help to ensure team deadlines and/or requirements are being met

Manage daily production reporting

Monitor and assist in the resolution of issues

Follow up on open inquiries

Interact with other *** departments on resolution of issues

Follow up and resolution of pricing vs. custody position breaks and cash reconciliation breaks

Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure

Communicate with internal departments as necessary

Contribute to Management Reporting (i.e.: PVC’s, past dues, cash breaks, R and A analysis)

Gain an understanding of the big picture of how this specific function impacts the firm

Contribute to Division/Firm process improvement activities

Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity

Manage multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently despite resource and time constraints

Candidate Qualifications include:

BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience

Financial services industry knowledge and experience preferred

Solid understanding of the key roles assumed by Fund Accountants, Fund Administrators preferred

Proficiency using windows-based applications, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Excel knowledge is a plus

Bloomberg experience is a plus

Creative and effective problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to recognize one's own strengths and limitations, taking appropriate initiative to pursue development activities and seek assistance as needed

Proactive and results-oriented

Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Excellent written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and with clarity

Consultative and advisory skills with ability to work and communicate professionally with internal clients

Organizational skills and ability to multi-task; Detail oriented.

Ability to work US Holidays and ability to work overtime as necessary

Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
