NorthStar Energy Solutions is Hiring! The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and executing the company's talent acquisition strategy to attract, hire, and retain top talent across all business operations. This role provides strategic leadership for the Talent Acquisition function, overseeing recruiting operations, workforce planning, employer branding, recruiting technology, and talent pipelines to support the organization's continued growth. This individual serves as the leader of Talent Acquisition, partnering closely with executive leadership, operations, and Human Resources to build a high-performing recruiting organization that delivers exceptional candidate experiences while meeting business objectives across professional, field, and craft positions.

What You'll Do

• Provide strategic leadership for the Talent Acquisition function, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and workforce planning initiatives.
• Lead and develop Talent Acquisition Managers, Recruiters, Coordinators, and recruiting support staff.
• Develop and execute enterprise recruiting strategies for corporate, operations, craft, and field positions across multiple business units and geographic regions.
• Partner with executive leadership and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and develop proactive recruiting plans.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions, including skilled trades, leadership, and technical roles.
• Establish recruiting metrics and dashboards (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, offer acceptance rate, recruiter productivity, candidate experience).
• Lead workforce planning initiatives in partnership with Operations and HR leadership.
• Oversee recruiting technology, ATS, CRM platforms, and recruiting process optimization.
• Develop employer branding initiatives.
• Ensure compliant recruiting practices.
• Manage external recruiting partnerships and recruiting budgets.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the recruiting process.
• Mentor and develop recruiting professionals.

What You'll Bring

Job Requirements

• Industry experience is required for this position. Experience supporting utility, energy, engineering, construction, and infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership of enterprise recruiting teams.
• Demonstrated success leading high-volume recruiting organizations.
• Strong knowledge of Talent Acquisition strategy, workforce planning, recruiting operations, employer branding, and ATS platforms.
• Experience developing recruiting metrics and executive reporting.
• Strong understanding of employment law related to recruiting.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 25% to support recruiting initiatives, hiring events, and field operations.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments as business needs require.
• Ability to sit, stand, and utilize standard office equipment for extended periods.

Skills Requirements

• Expertise in enterprise Talent Acquisition strategy and execution.
• Advanced knowledge of ATS, CRM platforms, and recruiting analytics.
• Proven ability to recruit salaried professionals and skilled craft workforce.
• Strong business acumen and project management skills.
• Excellent executive communication, coaching, and influencing abilities.
