Imagineers LLC is a highly regarded Property Management Company in Hartford. We manage the Housing Choice Voucher program for numerous housing authorities including the City of Hartford, as well as managing over 220 Condominium Associations and Rental Properties throughout the State of Connecticut. As a Housing Office Support Clerk at Imagineers, you will provide administrative and clerical support to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. This position assists program participants, landlords, applicants, and staff while maintaining accurate records and providing professional customer service.

Housing Office Support Clerk responsibilities include:

Administrative:

• Assist in phone and reception desk coverage
• Assist participants with completing forms and understanding documentation requirements
• Process incoming / outgoing mail,
• Provide clerical assistance to Section 8 staff with annual recertifications, interim changes, inspections, and other program activities
• Maintain high level of confidentiality of all information
• Follow HUD regulations, company policies, and established Section 8 procedures.

Documents, Correspondence and Record Keeping:

• Receive, review, scan, copy, file, and distribute Section 8 documents and correspondence.
• Enter and update participant, landlord, and program information in the housing management system.
• Prepare and mail notices, letters, forms, and other program correspondence.
• Track and follow up on missing documents and information.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper participant files.
• Transport files to/from other housing authorities
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned

You must have the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior office, administrative, customer service, or housing experience preferred
• Must have strong interpersonal, communication, organizational (attention-to-detail) and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and general computer/data-entry systems).
• Quick learner who works well independently, takes initiative, is a self-starter, responsible, reliable and mature.
• Ability to communicate professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Proper phone etiquette
• Must be bilingual Spanish and English
• Have a valid Driver's License and your own transportation
