Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical judgment in planning and delivering safe, high-quality patient care
• Manage and monitor patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care , central line management, and wound care
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff, maintaining patient ratios of 1:6
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care delivery
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license or multi-state compact RN license
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in LTAC or a related specialty
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator/tracheostomy management and knowledge of central lines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Wound care experience in an acute or long-term acute care setting
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an LTAC environment
