Engineering Test Technician

Location: Tucson, AZ 85745 Duration: 12 Months

Position's Contributions to Work Group:

• Support test and validation activities on large mining equipment.
• Test validation – validating the functionality of the software; common area – carrying out the requirements; system level testing; large mining truck; working with the mechanics

Reason/motivation for request:

• Backfill

Typical task breakdown:

• Plan, execute, and document machine level testing.
• Interaction with team: Daily interaction with engineers, mechanics, operators, instrumentation technicians, supply chain, and logistics.

Team Structure:

• 3 team leaders, several senior engineers, and several junior engineers.

Work environment:

• 20% office and 80% on your feet either in the shop or local field.
• PPE gear – boots, glasses, uniform

Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience: 1-2 years
• Degree requirement: B.S. engineering, no 2 year degrees
• Do you accept internships as job experience: Yes
• Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: mechanic, construction, landscaping
