The Role Production-rate fiber splicer responsible for producing end-to-end fiber optic networks — splicing, testing and troubleshooting continuity to deliver clean light levels. Responsibilities Splice and produce end-to-end fiber optic networks at production rates. Test and troubleshoot fiber continuity; resolve common fiber network issues. Prep fiber splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.). Operate fusion splicer and test equipment: OTDR (1310/1550), DWDM/CWDM, OLTS, power meter. Read design documentation; understand light levels and dB loss; maintain splicing records. Qualifications 3+ yrs fiber splicing & troubleshooting experience. Knowledge of fiber design and documentation. Valid driver's license; able to work aerial/underground & varied shifts.
