Real Estate Specialist

Location: New York, NY 10036 (Onsite) Salary Range: $ 195000- $ 200000/Year Duration: Full-Time Perm Role Job Description Responsible for managing and monitoring commercial real estate (CRE) loan portfolios by overseeing loan reporting requirements, risk management, financial analysis, covenant testing, and regulatory reporting. Supports ongoing asset management activities through collateral monitoring, underwriting reviews, insurance compliance, borrower request analysis, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure portfolio performance and compliance with transaction terms. Key Responsibilities Establish loan reporting dates and requirements at closing and manage the completeness and timely data entry into proprietary workflow platforms. Proactively manage ongoing risks of individual loan positions, including monitoring collateral performance, asset integrity, compliance with transaction terms, insurance renewals, and performing full re-underwrites when necessary. Produce quarterly underwriting assumptions and risk projections for loans within the CRE Lending portfolio and review findings with the loan management coverage team. Spread borrower financials for covenant testing, ensuring analysis and supporting documentation are uploaded into proprietary systems. Perform rent roll spreading and maintain accurate financial analysis records. Update systems for ALAs, capital stack updates, metric threshold checks, and closing statements related to asset dispositions and partial paydowns. Coordinate with servicers and external insurance consultants for timely receipt, review, and upload of annual insurance information. Create preliminary Annual Review decks for each loan using updated underwriting and market information for Asset Management team review and completion. Conduct technical reviews of draft appraisals and desktop appraisal reviews (DARs) to validate assumptions and cash flow analysis. Analyze borrower requests for advances, releases, and extensions, providing recommendations to Asset Management leadership and escalating potential issues involving co-lenders when required. Provide weekly updates on loan performance and key portfolio risks to CRE Lending Management and coordinate reporting with Global Asset Management and Credit Risk teams. Support periodic risk reporting requirements for quarterly governance processes. Prepare and coordinate periodic regulatory submissions with the global portfolio reporting team. Gather market data and develop meaningful analysis to support portfolio risk management decisions. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 5–7 years of experience in structured products, real estate origination, credit, risk management, or asset management. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with global teams. Strong technical and computer proficiency. Excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines. Ability to execute established processes and procedures effectively.
