About the Role:
Big Steps Little Feet is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Assistant Young 3's Teacher to join their team in Ada, MI! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young children during their most formative years. Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for young 3-year-olds
- Support a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages growth and development
- Guide children through daily routines including circle time, free play, snack, and transitions
- Observe and monitor children's behavior, social interactions, and developmental milestones
- Communicate openly and positively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Assist with classroom management and reinforce positive behavior strategies
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom setting
Requirements:
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred
- Basic knowledge of early childhood development principles
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain a positive, high-energy classroom environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
