Marketing Analyst

Position Overview YAAANA and Yiddishland California are seeking marketing and data analyst interns for unpaid positions, with opportunity for college credit. Role and Responsibilities Conduct market research and analyze competitor strategies. Support the development of marketing campaigns and initiatives. Help coordinate promotional events and activities. Monitor and report on the performance of marketing efforts. Collaborate with the creative team to design marketing materials. Assist in email marketing campaigns, database management, A/B testing and predictive analysis. Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new marketing ideas, based on previous marketing research and analysis. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Provide general administrative support to the marketing department as needed. Organize marketing materials. Other duties as assigned. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven ability to prioritize and multitask. Theoretical and practical experience doing descriptive statistical analysis, including the calculation of measures of central tendency and dispersion, frequency histograms, and basic data visualization. Basic experience with statistical hypothesis testing techniques and standard error calculation and interpretation in the context of an inferential analysis for normally and non-normally distributed data. Familiarity with Google Ads and its analytics dashboard. Previous experience with non-profit organizations is a plus. Creativity. Excellent time-management skills. Learning Objectives Gain experience performing predictive statistical analysis on discrete and continuous data. Acquire experience conducting Google Ads campaigns for non-profit organizations and online marketing and donation campaigns. Expand data visualization skills and communicate results to diverse audiences. Gain experience in A/B testing, n-gram analysis for keyword research, and natural language processing (NLP) analysis techniques for marketing purposes. Gain familiarity with secular Jewish culture and the Yiddish language. Estimated Duration Full-time: preferably 8 weeks, minimum 6 weeks, 40 hours per week. Part-time: preferably 16 weeks, minimum 12 weeks, 20 hours per week. Longer internships with a less demanding time commitment may be considered upon request. Interns must verify academic credit approval with their institution prior to beginning the position. Students should ensure they meet any institutional requirements before accepting the position.
