Program/Project Manager - Digital Delivery (contract)

Onsite role in our McLean, VA office*** Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead and manage multiple complex, large-scale, and global projects from inception through final implementation. This dynamic role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and communication skills who can oversee all aspects of cross-functional project management, including governance, stakeholder engagement, budget oversight, and risk mitigation. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of large, complex, cross-functional, and/or global IT projects or programs, including monitoring scope, milestones, dependencies, costs, and benefits throughout the project lifecycle Develop project budgets and maintain responsibility for performance against financial parameters, including monitoring and reporting on project financials Create and maintain project artifacts such as project plans, performance measures, stakeholder and team communications, and resource and time management documentation Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and suppliers, and manage stakeholder and project manager commitment levels and communication Facilitate vendor and supplier evaluations to support project objectives Ensure all projects adhere to company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards Identify, highlight, and elevate risks and issues within the project, and devise effective mitigation and escalation strategies to address them Lead governance structures and processes to drive and manage projects effectively Manage the implementation of project management methodology and governance tools, driving projects through governance methodology and ensuring compliance with tollgates Lead regular project and program reviews with project managers and stakeholders Perform various administrative tasks and other relevant duties as requested, and participate in authorized on-site and off-site meetings and group activities Skills Strong leadership and team management capabilities across cross-functional and global teams Excellent project planning, organizational, and time management skills Proficiency in budget development and financial performance monitoring Effective stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and governance frameworks Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Vendor and supplier relationship management expertise Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience 7+ years leading small to mid-sized projects 5+ years managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders Background in IT project or program management preferred This is a truly exciting opportunity for a seasoned project management professional to make a meaningful impact by driving large-scale, high-visibility initiatives within a globally recognized organization.
