Reporting into the Materials Manager, the objective of our Supply Chain Team is to establish, maintain/ improve supply continuity, quality and cost as it relates to products and services. (Key Measurements: Inventory, On-time delivery, Quality & Cost) This role will be based at our manufacturing site in Chandler, AZ. It is a site based position.Responsibilities:Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliersReviews PO variances to the plan; past due and aged unconfirmed orders providing resolution with the supply baseParticipates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code informationRecommend cost saving proposals including alternative sourcing with approval of teamWorks closely with Engineers & Strategic Sourcing Managers to support all procurement and vendor negotiations on lead-time and costProcess Returns to Vendor (RTV) for procured products and drive continual improvement with Supplier Quality teamManage and maintain item master/organization attributes for assigned productsResolves accounts payable/receivable discrepancies for any/items assignedResolves delivery/receiving discrepancies for any/all items assignedRemains current on economic, industrial and other trends that affect market and pricesSupports ERP integration activities and assists Project Manager with implementationsParticipates in New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to represent Component Ops in the early stages of the development process.Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business/Supply Chain0-3 years of relevant work experience.Proven planning, organizational and communication skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (specifically Excel)Demonstrates analytical, verbal, and written communication skillsstrong interpersonal skillsThis position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.Travel Time:0% - 25%Physical Attributes:Hearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:80% sitting, 10% standing, 10% walking, 100% inside.Microchip Technology Incis an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
