Automation/Controls Engineer

Our client, one of the largest Northern American Building Products companies in North America is looking for an Automation/Controls Engineer to support plant electrical automation projects throughout the facility.

Essential duties include:

• Developing and maintaining PLC/HMI systems
• Maintaining automation related systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and facilities networks
• Developing standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Providing training for operators and maintenance personnel

Qualifications:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but will consider experienced engineers without a degree. Must have experience with PLCs, HMI, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and programming from a manufacturing environment.
