Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse Florence, Alabama
A Registered Nurse is needed for critical care/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) services on the night shift for an adult and geriatric patient population. The role supports a fast-paced environment that may require floating within critical care areas as clinical needs arise. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM7:00 AM, 36 hours per week (12 shift hours)
• Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); completion of all online learning Lifetalent assignments (including but not limited to NIHSS, ACLS/BLS, Moderate Sedation/Analgesia, iStat, and glucometer certifications; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a teaching hospital with resident physicians; prior experience in a high-acuity ICU managing advanced skills such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) support, arterial sheath pulls, and other devices; prior experience in SICU, MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, and PCU/Med-surg
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Responsibilities: Efficient time management and delivery of critical care nursing in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in nursing skills including IV starts and blood draws, NG tube placements, ECG rhythm interpretation, lab and arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation, critical care drip management and titrations; management of ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, and central venous lines (including large-volume Vas Caths); assisting physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation; effective communication with patients and families; ability to communicate with physicians via a smart phone communication application
• Additional Information: Unit profile includes CCU, CVICU (with variable capacity depending on surgeries/ICU overflow), Critical Care Step-Down (CCSD), and potential float to Med-Surg if critical care areas are staffed. Start date: 07/20/2026.
