Job TitleUnderwriter for Environmental Services IndustryJob DescriptionWithin authority, the incumbent will manage assigned brokers to underwrite and process environmental and/or casualty lines for the Environmental Services Industry and/or Environmental lines for any industry segment. Work with assigned brokers to underwrite Pollution, Professional Liability, General Liability, Automobile, Worker Compensation and Excess lines focused on the Environmental industry.Responsibilities include:Visiting existing and potential new brokers to discuss products and proceduresHandling all lines of business and all types of rating programsManaging a book of business to achieve new business, renewal retention and ROE objectivesProcessing Broker accountsPerforming financial analysis on the audited/reviewed financials or other financial information of insuresCreating and soliciting renewal applications from the brokerUnderwriting endorsement requests from brokers and sign-off where requiredAssisting other underwriters in processing renewals, new business and endorsementsQualifications3-5 years of commercial underwriting experience as well as multi-line rating experienceCapable of working in a "paperless" work environmentProficient in Excel, Word, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint and email systemsExperience with utilizing available tools in risk selection, pricing and account managementAdditional Company DetailsThe company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including: Base Salary Range: $75k-125k, eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus, benefits include: Health, dental, vision, dental, life, disability, wellness, paid time off, 401(k) and profit-sharing plans.
