Description The Data Center Project Manager will be responsible for:- Oversee procurement activities, including soliciting bids, reviewing proposals, and selecting qualified subcontractors and suppliers.
- Lead on-site project meetings to ensure alignment between construction teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other critical project documentation.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards through routine site inspections and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design issues and ensure constructability.
- Drive project kickoff and closeout processes, ensuring thorough documentation and smooth handoff.
- Track project financials, analyze cost trends, and report variances proactively.
- Coordinate equipment and material deliveries to support efficient, uninterrupted construction workflows.
- Support the commissioning and turnover process for data center systems and infrastructure.
- Facilitate communication across disciplines to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project phases.
- Manage vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Assist in developing project execution plans and construction methodologies tailored to data center requirements.
- A strong background in construction project management, ideally with experience supporting projects within the business services or commercial construction sectors, demonstrating an ability to navigate complex scopes, stakeholder expectations, and fast-paced environments.
- Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects, each with competing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining clear oversight of schedules, budgets, deliverables, and team coordination.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling the candidate to coordinate seamlessly with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders at all levels throughout the project lifecycle.
- High proficiency in project management software and digital tools (such as Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms), ensuring accurate documentation, efficient workflows, and strong project visibility.
- A demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance, ensuring all work adheres to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents, providing clear direction and oversight during planning and execution phases.
