• Ability to independently manage regulatory compliance for U.S. retirement (DB/DC), VEBA, and H&W Benefit plans
• Manage the preparation, coordination, and submission of IRS Form 5500 filings across all benefit plans
• Support SEC Form 11-K filings and ensure alignment with financial disclosures
• ACA Summary of Benefits and Coverage, and required disclosures (1094 B/C and 1095 B/C)
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (ERISA, IRS, DOL, etc.)

1st shift Monday-Friday 8-5 Hybrid 3 onsite- 2 remote

Job Summary

Independently manages regulatory compliance for U.S. retirement (DB/DC), VEBA, and Health & Welfare Benefit Plans. Responsible for preparation and coordination of all required filings (e.g., IRS Form 5500, SEC Form 11-K, IRS Forms 1094 B/C and 1095 B/C, state disability filings) and ensuring adherence to ERISA and related regulatory requirements. Works cross-functionally to maintain compliance, mitigate risk, and ensure audit readiness and completeness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, coordination, and submission of IRS Form 5500 filings (including schedules) across all benefit plans
• Support SEC Form 11-K filings and ensure alignment with financial disclosures
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, state disability regulations
• Maintain and update Summary Plan Descriptions, ACA Summary of Benefits and Coverage, and required disclosures
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates to policies, processes, and documentation
• Maintain a compliance calendar to track regulatory deadlines and deliverables
• Partner with TPAs, auditors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely submissions
• Support internal and external audits; manage findings and remediation activities
• Analyze and validate plan data to ensure integrity across filings and documentation
• Drive process improvements and compliance reporting metrics

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting and Auditing (preferably experience with public company financial statements)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with high accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in benefits compliance, ERISA, or retirement/health & welfare plans
• Experience managing or supporting IRS Form 5500 filings
• Knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations (ERISA, IRS, DOL, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA)
• Experience supporting SEC Form 11-K filings
• Familiarity with ACA reporting (IRS Forms 1094 B/C and 1095 B/C)
• Experience supporting audits for employee benefit plans
• Experience with HRIS or benefits platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP)

• Ensures timely and accurate external filings to regulatory agencies
• Supports enterprise compliance with governance processes
