ARE YOU THE COMMUNITY SUPPORTER WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

High school diploma or equivalent Capability to obtain and maintain Lifeguard and Pool Operator certifications Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a Special Olympics coach Ability to pass a van driving in-service Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a habilitation or vocational setting A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. At least one year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is also a plus!

AVERAGE DAY AS A COMMUNITY SUPPORTER

As a Community Supporter, your day will be filled with planning and coordinating a variety of fun and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors. You'll develop strategies to maximize the use of our playgrounds, gym, tree house, sensory room, and other facilities. You'll keep a detailed calendar of events and ensure that our summer schedules are well-organized. By obtaining and maintaining certifications for Lifeguard, Pool Operator, and Special Olympics coach, you'll ensure the safety and enjoyment of our residents. Your role is all about creating a supportive and vibrant environment for adults with developmental disabilities.
