Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry care to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing care for medical-surgical patients, demonstrating competence in monitoring telemetry patients.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day shifts (3x12-hour: 07:00 - 19:30)
• Start Date: ASAP

Patient Care Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratios will be:

• 1 RN to 4-6 patients
• 1 CNA to 6-13 patients on days, and 1 to 10-13 on nights

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
• First-timers: Welcome to apply.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• License: Candidates with active or pending Oregon RN licenses are encouraged to apply.

Unit Information

This short-term acute care facility features a 30-bed medical unit designed for comprehensive care across various medical needs, including Med-Tele and IMCU levels. The unit provides personalized attention and quality treatment for conditions such as:

• Sepsis
• Pneumonia
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
• Acute Respiratory Failure
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Diabetes
• Acute and Chronic Kidney Disease
• Gastrointestinal (GI) Bleed

Responsibilities

The RN will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and interpreting telemetry data.
• Administering medications and managing IV therapy.
• Caring for patients with medical and surgical diagnoses.
• Participating in patient care team discussions and collaborating with interdisciplinary support services.
• Ensuring adherence to isolation precautions and protocols.

Additional Information

Candidates may be required to float within the facility or to affiliated facilities as necessary. Refusal to float may lead to contract cancellation.
