Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Telemetry provides specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac monitoring needs, ensuring optimal outcomes through comprehensive assessment and intervention. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously, utilizing telemetry monitoring to detect arrhythmias and cardiac events.
• Implement and manage care plans tailored to individual patient needs, adhering to clinical protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and facilitate timely interventions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active PA or Compact RN license and meet all current certification requirements.
• Possess valid BLS and ACLS certifications at the time of submission.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner or similar electronic health records systems.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond swiftly to change.
• Be willing to float within hospital departments and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius.
