Part-Time Nursing Home Cook

Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently hiring a Part-Time Cook to join our team.

Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is part of a network of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities dedicated to providing exceptional care and resident-focused service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for residents according to planned menus, dietary guidelines, and physician-ordered special diets

  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and preparation practices are followed at all times

  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards

  • Follow state, federal, and facility dietary regulations

  • Provide courteous, timely, and resident-centered meal service

  • Keep kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas clean, organized, and sanitized

  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection Manager certification preferred (or ability to obtain as required)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, or institutional setting is preferred

  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

  • Dependable with a positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service
