Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Associate Designer to support the design and development of children’s apparel. This is a full-time, onsite temporary opportunity for an initial period of 2+ months, with an ASAP start. The ideal candidate has 1 - 3 years of design experience and either previous children’s apparel experience or a strong interest in designing children’s products.\n

Responsibilities Of The Associate Designer - Children’s Apparel

\n

\n
• Assist with the design and development of children’s apparel from concept through product development.
\n
• Create concept sketches, mood boards, color palettes, graphics, technical drawings, and product presentations.
\n
• Conduct trend research to support seasonal collections and design direction.
\n
• Assist with sample reviews, design revisions, and product updates.
\n
• Collaborate with the Design and Product Development teams to support the execution of collections.
\n
• Help maintain design materials, product details, and presentation files.

Required Experience/Skills for the Associate Designer - Children’s Apparel:\n
\n
\n

\n
• 1 - 3 years of apparel design experience.
\n
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
\n
• Strong creative, organizational, and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to support multiple projects and meet deadlines.
\n
• Attention to detail and an interest in apparel design and development.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Associate Designer - Children’s Apparel:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Previous experience designing children’s apparel.
\n
• Strong interest in children’s fashion and product development.
\n
• Experience creating technical drawings, graphics, mood boards, and color palettes.
\n
• Familiarity with sample reviews and the apparel development process.

Education Requirements

• A degree or certificate in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field is preferred.
