About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC Must-Have Skills/Experience: Previous experience in emergency nursing in a large emergency department Description: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will manage patients with varying degrees of acuity. Critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to adjust to fluctuating patient volume is necessary. The unit typically handles a patient ratio of Shock 2:1, Core 4:1, Psych 3:1, Exam 6:1. Familiarity with equipment such as Alaris Pumps, Phillips Monitors, and Belmont Rapid Infusers is preferred. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork. Scrubs should be navy blue, and adherence to the dress code is expected.
