IT Applications Engineer, Chat & Chatbot

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:
- We require at least three years of experience working on projects that involved implementing solutions through development life cycles such as SDLC.
- We require at least one year of experience in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
- We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, along with at least six years of experience in software development or a related discipline; equivalent work experience may be considered in place of the degree.
- We translate business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions and physical program designs.
- We help shape the technical direction of integrated business and enterprise application solutions.
- We provide consultation to support the development of new and existing software solutions.
- We plan and coordinate work to meet business priorities, deadlines, procedures, and policies.
- We collaborate across functions to resolve complex issues, make sound decisions, and address high-priority risks.
- We design, develop, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, cloud-based solutions using DEVOPS, Waterfall, and Agile practices.
- We recommend technical solutions that align with design and functional needs.
- We identify interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions needed to support technical solutions.
- We lead incident support and troubleshooting for both complex and straightforward issues.
- We support component integration testing and user acceptance testing by triaging issues, attending test meetings, applying fixes, and performing unit tests.
- We maintain strong relationships with internal customers, third-party vendors, architects, consultants, and IT teams.
- We review, validate, write, and update technical specifications and documentation.
- We configure, modify, and enhance business software solutions and packaged applications.
- We develop and execute unit tests to find application errors and confirm functional alignment.
- We ensure our solutions follow architectural standards, design patterns, technical specifications, and industry best practices.
- We lead, mentor, train, and coach other technical team members.
- We estimate project effort throughout the project lifecycle.
- We maintain knowledge of database concepts, data modeling, database architecture, and information handling practices.
- We manage accessibility, retrievability, integrity, searchability, and security of information.
- We apply guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices when building conversational systems across web, messaging, and enterprise platforms.
