(Broadbent) of Salt Lake City, Utah is looking to hire an organized full-time Senior Environmental Professional / Senior Geologist / Senior Environmental Scientist to oversee a wide variety of complex, environmental projects in the Intermountain Region. Your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of the Salt Lake City Division Manager, you will:Prepare and review of work plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local agenciesPrepare and review of new clientele proposals for federal, state, and private industryDevelop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from our diverse portfolio and manage budgetsConduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate technical and health and safety procedures are being followedReview and approve vendor work proposals and invoicesWrite project reports, analyze, and interpret data, and prepare final reports to be submitted for management and client reviewBusiness developmentAct as a client liaison and communicate with regulatory personnelPotential succession for division managementYour people skills are essential as you interact regularly with clientele and regulatory agencies. Though you do spend a lot of time visiting job sites and interacting with people, you also complete various administrative responsibilities. Ensuring that clients are happy as well as that all jobs are delivered on time, within the scope, and on budget, gives you a great sense of accomplishment!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor 's degree in geology, hydrogeology, earth or environmental scienceProfessional Geologist (PG) certification and/or Utah PST Consultant a bonusSeven or more years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, storm water management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectorsConsulting experienceStrong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agenciesDemonstrated ability to properly manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with deliverable timelinesProven Business Development CapabilityAbility for limited travel within the Intermountain RegionDESIRED QUALITIES:Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of the consulting business in the Intermountain Region.Strong commitment to Safety and staff development/mentoringPossess ability to effectively manage personnel and administrative functionsAdvanced technical capabilities associated with the specific field of expertiseMotivated self-starter and ability to perform periodic field workStrong problem solving, research, and communication skillsAbility to identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with site operationsWillingness to conduct Business Development activitiesTechnical writing competency and computer literacyIn-depth experience with service line specific cost projections, budget preparation and trackingAbility to work individually and as a team memberAre you detail-oriented?
