Exciting Emergency Room Nurse Opportunity!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-hour Night Shifts
- Schedule Requirements: Every Other Weekend, Must Float Within Designated Zone
- Location: 60-mile radius floating requirement from zone city center
- Orientation Week: In-state attendance required

Unit Information:


- Trauma Level: 3
- Patient Volume: Average of 40 patients per day
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 based on acuity

- Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC

- Common Diagnoses:
- Abdominal Pain
- Diabetes Mellitus
- NSTEMI
- Pneumonia
- Trauma
- Stroke
- Hypertension

Clinical Environment:


- Charge Nurse: Yes, takes assignments
- Support Staff:
- Techs assisting with unit secretary duties, floor support, and triage
- Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs
- Monitoring: RNs interpret telemetry without monitor tech assistance
- Phlebotomy: RN performs Point of Care lab testing after training

Additional Scheduling Information:


- Shifts: 12-hour shifts, scheduled based on leadership needs
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
- Cancellation Policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments

License to Submit: Yes
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
