Air Export Manager

Location Inwood, NY Overview This position supports export operations by working with the Manager and internal HAF staff to coordinate global shipments. It reports exceptions and seeks guidance from the Manager as needed in daily operations. Key Responsibilities Assign specific shipments to coordinate complete customer service for shipments exported from the United States. Select carriers and routing for international shipments as assigned, including contacting airlines to resolve issues. Calculate volume weight and dimensions in both metric and imperial units (feet, inches, pounds, ounces, etc.). Calculate shipping costs and provide them to the Manager. Coordinate with peers in Logistics, Warehousing, Customs, IT and other internal departments. Obtain and maintain client SOP requirements. Handle client requests, including billing inquiries; refer complex issues to the Manager. Perform other projects as assigned. The Ideal Candidate At least 1 year of experience in a similar or related position (preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Some knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping regulations (helpful). Knowledge of dangerous goods handling (HAZMAT) (helpful). Familiarity with TSA regulations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Computer literacy, including email and the Microsoft Office Suite. Passion for delivering quality customer service. A team player who can work under pressure with tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude. Education High School graduate; a college degree in business, transportation or a related field is a plus. Industry certifications are a plus.
