Full-Time | Hybrid Opportunity After 90 Days

Pay: Competitive $30-$50/hr depending on experience

We are actively seeking a BIM Coordinator to support our growing mechanical construction team. This role is ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD and BIM experience who enjoys working collaboratively with project managers, field teams, and engineers to develop detailed HVAC and plumbing models and layouts for commercial construction projects.

In this role, you will assist with building modeling, HVAC and plumbing layouts, drafting, field verification, and BIM coordination efforts while helping ensure projects remain accurate, organized, and on schedule. Daily responsibilities include creating and modifying mechanical drawings, interpreting plans and specifications, visiting job sites to verify field conditions, participating in coordination meetings, and utilizing Autodesk and Fabrication MEP software to support project execution.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 1-hour lunch break
• 40 hours per week
• Hybrid work schedule available after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period and based on workload
• Overtime opportunities as needed and approved by Project Managers

What You'll Be Doing

• Generate drawings and details for building modeling projects
• Assist Project Managers with HVAC and plumbing piping designs
• Interpret project drawings and specifications
• Visit job sites to gather field measurements and verify existing conditions
• Convert sketches and concepts into digital models using Fabrication MEP software
• Develop mechanical HVAC and plumbing layouts for equipment and systems
• Modify and edit drafting assignments to meet project deadlines
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings
• Support additional project-related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with at least 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, BIM coordination, or building engineering documentation preparation. Candidates should have strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment. Experience with commercial HVAC and plumbing systems is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM software
• Experience using Navisworks
• Familiarity with:
  • Autodesk CAD-MEP
  • Autodesk Fabrication MEP
  • Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Autodesk Revit
  • Navisworks
• Understanding of mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems
• Commercial drafting experience preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
• Technical degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience
