Job Summary:
The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology on a facility-based unit located in San Antonio, Texas. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration, central line management, and other specialized procedures. Candidates are required to bring their active Texas Registered Nurse license on the first day of assignment.

• Unit: Oncology (8S) (632)
• Shift Details: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) / Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) with a 12-hour shift length and a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Number of Positions: 2
• Required Qualifications:
  • Active Texas Registered Nurse License (Temporary licenses are not accepted)
  • At least 5+ years of nursing experience
  • Oncology experience required
  • Experience with Meditech, PICCS, Central Lines, and Mediports required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Chemotherapy certification preferred
  • Meditech experience preferred
• Additional Information:
  • All travelers are required to float; it is essential to review the Methodist Floating Policy during interviews.
