Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides skilled nursing care to residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role may include assuming charge nurse responsibilities to ensure quality resident care and smooth unit operations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care according to established nursing protocols and care plans.
• Supervise and collaborate with the nursing team to deliver comprehensive resident care.
• Document all clinical interventions accurately in the residents records.
• Participate in resident assessments and update care plans as needed.
• Assume charge nurse duties when required to coordinate daily nursing operations.
• Ensure compliance with state and facility policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current California LVN license.
• Graduate from an accredited LVN program with an associate or equivalent degree.
• Possess at least one (1) year of experience as an LVN in a clinical setting.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Demonstrate proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to utilize computer systems efficiently for documentation and reporting.
