EDI Analyst

Role Title: EDI Analyst

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months with potential for extension

Preferred Location: Preferably Cleveland local, 4 days onsite

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced EDI Analyst to support our client's transportation and logistics integration initiatives. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, carriers, and technical development teams, ensuring EDI requirements are accurately translated into detailed technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong logistics background, deep knowledge of transportation-related EDI transactions, and the ability to work directly with clients and carrier partners.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to EDI integrations.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between business users, carriers, clients, and technical resources.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder meetings.
• Support onboarding and integration efforts with transportation carriers and logistics partners.
• Review, validate, and troubleshoot EDI transaction flows and mapping requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure successful implementation and testing of EDI solutions.
• Participate in client-facing meetings to discuss integration requirements, project status, and issue resolution.
• Provide analysis and recommendations for process improvements within EDI and transportation operations.
• Assist with testing, validation, and production support activities as needed.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience as an EDI Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting EDI integrations.
• Strong experience with transportation and logistics EDI transactions, specifically:
• EDI 204 - Motor Carrier Load Tender
• EDI 214 - Transportation Carrier Shipment Status Message
• EDI 990 - Response to Load Tender
• Proven ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Experience working closely with software developers, integration teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards, mapping, and implementation processes.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience working directly with external clients, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Transportation, logistics, supply chain, or freight industry experience.
• Experience supporting carrier onboarding and integration projects.
• Familiarity with EDI mapping tools and integration platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting EDI transaction issues and coordinating resolution efforts.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain processes.
