This position focuses on providing high-quality patient care in an inpatient setting. Experience in oncology is preferred but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities\n \n Deliver compassionate nursing care to oncology patients. \n Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and implement appropriate care plans. \n Administer medications and therapies as prescribed. \n Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the medical team. \n Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare professionals. \n Maintain accurate patient records using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Cerner). \n Schedule Information\n This role offers a flexible schedule, with options for either 3x12 or 4x12 shifts during the night, including weekdays and every other weekend. Block scheduling is available. Qualifications\n \n Active RN license. \n Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or medical-surgical units. \n Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; ONS chemotherapy/bio certification is preferred. \n Skills in initiating IV therapy. \n Patient Care Ratios\n The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:5-6, ensuring a supportive and manageable care environment. Additional Information\n Scrubs are provided, and candidates are expected to wear burgundy and/or white attire.
