This role is ideal for a mid-level provider who is clinically confident, values teamwork, and thrives in a structured, high-quality specialty practice.The Urology NP/PA will manage a broad range of urologic conditions, support procedural and clinic workflows, and work closely with urologists to deliver comprehensive, efficient, and evidence-based care. Our model emphasizes provider support, operational efficiency, and sustainable workloads, allowing clinicians to focus on excellent patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Patient CareEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with common and complex urologic conditions, including but not limited to:Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)Elevated PSA and prostate cancer surveillanceUrinary tract infectionsHematuriaKidney stonesOveractive bladder and urinary incontinenceErectile dysfunction and men's health concernsPerform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under urology protocols.Provide post-operative and post-procedure follow-up care.Procedural & Clinical SupportAssist with and/or independently perform in-office urology procedures as permitted by scope and training, such as:Catheter insertions and removalsVoiding trialsCystoscopy assistanceBladder instillationsUrodynamic testing (if applicable)Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure education.Support clinic flow by managing procedure schedules and follow-ups.Care Coordination & CollaborationWork closely with urologists, medical assistants, nurses, and front office teams.Coordinate diagnostic testing, imaging, labs, and referrals.Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.Participate in team huddles, case discussions, and quality initiatives.Documentation, Coding & ComplianceMaintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the EHR (eCW experience preferred).Ensure documentation supports appropriate coding and billing.Comply with all regulatory, payer, and organizational policies.Adhere to evidence-based urology guidelines and clinical protocols.Quality, Efficiency & Patient ExperienceDeliver high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and workflow optimization.Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans.Support a positive patient experience through clear communication and professionalism.QualificationsRequiredCurrent, unrestricted Texas NP or PA licenseNurse Practitioner (AANP/ANCC) or NCCPA certificationActive DEA license or eligibility to obtainMinimum 2+ years of clinical experience in Urology or a related specialty (strongly preferred)Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesPreferredPrior urology experience or demonstrated interest in urologyExperience in a high-volume or multi-provider specialty clinicFamiliarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial payersExperience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EHR systemsComfort with procedural care and post-operative managementIdeal Candidate ProfileClinically confident and eager to grow within a specialtyEfficient and organized, able to manage a busy clinic scheduleCollaborative, working seamlessly with physicians and staffPatient-focused, providing compassionate and respectful careAccountable, taking ownership of documentation and outcomesAdaptable, thriving in a growing, evolving practice environmentSchedule & Work EnvironmentStructured clinic schedules with dedicated MA and front desk supportBalanced patient volumes designed to promote quality care and provider longevityTeam-based urology practice with strong operational leadershipOpportunity to expand scope and responsibilities as the service line growsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceProductivity and/or quality-based bonus opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and paid holidaysCME allowance and CME daysMalpractice insurance coverageSupportive onboarding and specialty trainingWhy Join Wellspire Medical GroupEstablished, growing urology service lineSupportive leadership and operational infrastructureCollaborative culture that values mid-level providersOpportunity to practice at the top of your licenseLong-term growth and professional development opportunities
