Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in both the catheterization lab and interventional radiology. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic catheterizations and interventional therapies.
• Perform special procedures, such as cardiac stent placements, IABP placements, and percutaneous coronary interventions.
• Monitor patients' vitals and administer procedural sedation, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Engage in phlebotomy and IV placement as required for patient care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.

Schedule

RNs will typically be scheduled for four 10-hour days per week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional call shifts, averaging 8-10 per month, including weekends, may be required based on departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cath lab; profiles with interventional radiology experience only will not be considered.
• Active certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Experience with a broad range of clinical skills including central venous access, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and gastrointestinal procedures.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.

Patient Population

This position involves caring for patients requiring cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiology procedures, including tube placements and biopsies.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided to all staff members. Please note that local candidates (individuals living within 75 miles) will not be accepted for this position.
