Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Compact License required upon start Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Charge responsibility experience preferred Cerner experience preferred Description: The position involves working in an Intermediate Care unit. The patient population includes a mix of medical-surgical, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients. Charge responsibility is required and appropriate pay differential and training will be provided. Candidates must work at least one major holiday during the holiday season. Gaps in work history over 90 days must be explained. Unit staffing needs can affect schedule preferences, with a possible focus on weekends. The unit may require flexibility, as cancellations can occur based on census. All team members are expected to contribute to a culture of support when interacting with students and new hires. This is a teaching hospital environment, requiring teamwork and collaboration. Submission of requested time off must be included with applications. The position does not allow for block scheduling but will consider weekend-only requests. Any approved declinations for Covid/Flu will be accepted.
