Maintains bids, contracts, and agreements. Maintains food and supply price changes and verifies prices for accuracy daily and/or weekly. Monitors food recall notifications and sends alerts. Maintains working relationships with vendors, distributors, and brokers. This position reports to the Nutrition Services Accounting Manager. Key Responsibilities Maintain contracts and price agreements to ensure all contract conditions are followed. Monitor the quality of food, supplies, and services procured by Nutrition Services. Coordinate with nutrition managers, warehouse personnel, and purchasing to resolve vendor issues. Process school orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of products and services. Establish, qualify, and maintain a list of vendors capable of delivering goods and/or services. Diffuse information to vendors and district staff regarding Nutrition Services purchasing policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. Maintain current knowledge of purchasing practices through education, research, vendor contact, and trade literature. Analyze inflation rates and provide cost estimates for budgetary purposes. Collaborate with the purchasing department on competitive bid processes and procedures. Evaluate procurement accounting functions and recommend improvements. Coordinate data and reports with the School Nutrition Office, other central offices, schools, and external sources. Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor. Key Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher in business management, accounting, finance, project management, or foodservice management preferred. Minimum of three years of experience procuring goods and services for schools, government, or industry organizations required. Working knowledge of Federal Guidelines governing the National School Lunch Program preferred. Procurement, accounting, or database management certification preferred. Analytical and detailed independent judgment required. Proficient in accounting software. Provide training and guidance to school nutrition staff and cafeteria managers. Willingness to learn district accounting and departmental software. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand on concrete floors for long periods. Normal office setting with occasional duties in a warehouse environment. Position Type
