Superintendent II
Samet Corporation
Job Description
Job Description
Superintendent II
Superintendent II owns field supervision and project coordination on assigned projects — directing on-site operations, subcontractor coordination, and workforce management to hit schedule milestones, budget targets, and contractual specifications.
You'll lead diverse construction teams, implement strong project controls, and keep stakeholders aligned, delivering safety, quality, and client satisfaction The Samet Way.
What You'll Do
Develop and communicate 4-week look-ahead schedules to stay ahead on planning and scheduling.
Participate in all schedule updates, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
Lead weekly coordination meetings, pre-install meetings, and schedule meetings that keep construction activities moving efficiently.
Participate in developing the baseline schedule and own the CPM schedule — managing, updating, and implementing it throughout the project.
Provide daily field oversight to maintain safe and efficient job site conditions.
Plan and implement efficient sequencing methods to optimize workflow.
Collaborate with the field team, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure quality control and uphold project standards.
Assist in developing and submitting RFIs.
Ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery through strategic planning and execution.
Enforce Samet's safety policies and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Conduct and document weekly safety inspections and reports to maintain a secure work environment.
Oversee and manage punch lists through project closeout.
Meet with AHJs and third-party inspectors to facilitate inspections and approvals.
Review subcontractor performance against scheduled deadlines to confirm manpower, equipment, and materials are sufficient to meet deliverables.
Lead the field team in promoting quality initiatives, setting expectations for inspections and observations, and ensuring quality and safety platforms are properly utilized.
Maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and curb appeal.
Assist in developing and updating the project PMP as required.
Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and manage subcontractor scopes of work.
Maintain strong communication and relationships with contractors and suppliers to support the construction schedule.
Ensure the project team maintains accurate, timely safety documentation using the Samet project management system.
Support the Company's safety/ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) initiatives.
Communicate clearly with direct reports on performance expectations, and support their career path development by setting goals for scalable growth.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and professional email etiquette.
Experience collaborating on quality assurance and safety initiatives.
Proficient knowledge of plans, specifications, and construction documentation processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience conducting and leading meetings with stakeholders.
Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with owners, AHJs, subcontractors, and team members.
Minimum 5-7 years of construction experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
The ability to build trust and maintain confidence among team members and stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail in all project-related tasks.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring an injury-free job site.
Complete understanding of Superintendent I responsibilities.
Ability to plan and think strategically to improve scheduling and sequencing efficiency.

Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
