Training/Scheduling Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates and delivers training programs within the assigned area for security officers and other employees, ensuring compliance with legally mandated, contractual, and company‑mandated training requirements. Distinguishing characteristics: primary job function is training security personnel at the area level.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Trains employees and job candidates within the assigned area; conducts new‑employee orientation, mandatory licensing training, on‑the‑job training, and health‑and‑safety training. Ensures compliance with legally mandated, contractual, and company‑mandated training requirements; documents training for licensing and client‑contract purposes. Consults with managers and supervisors to determine training needs and approaches. Develops training schedules with management; coordinates training activities to avoid conflicts with client service schedules. Follows appropriate instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, self‑study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role playing, and computer‑based training. Organizes training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation materials, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials. Maintains records and prepares reports to evaluate training performance and monitor trainee progress. Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned area.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position. Minimum Hiring Standards Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a reliable means of communication (pager or phone). Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private). Must have the legal right to work in the United States. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be willing to participate in the company’s pre‑employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Education/Experience: Associate’s Degree and 1 year of experience in the security industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can substitute the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education. Competencies Must meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for security officers, if required. Knowledge of training techniques suitable for different learning styles. Ability to use audio‑visual equipment and personal computers. Ability to identify training needs. Oral and written communication skills; presentation and group facilitation skills. Knowledge of or ability to learn security services and operations. Planning, organizing, record maintenance, and project coordination skills. Skill in observation, coaching, and providing feedback to employees. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with diverse employees and cultures. Strong customer service and results orientation.WORKING CONDITIONS
Maintaining composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, sometimes under urgent or high‑pressure situations. Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled‑substance testing, and behavioral selection survey. Handling multiple tasks concurrently. Regular computer usage. Handling and exposure to sensitive and confidential information. Regular vehicle use and frequent travel. Regular speaking and hearing in one‑on‑one and group settings. Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting 10 pounds (occasionally up to 25 pounds) for training program setup and delivery.
