Base Pay $15.5 - $15.5 / Hour Employee Type PT Non-Exempt Manage Others No The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Event Staff. Event Staff provides all guests with a positive, lasting impression of the Fox Theatre by delivering a superior guest experience, including but not limited to greeting, directing, assisting, and building relationships with guests, as well as Fox staff and Volunteer Ushers. This position serves as the front line for public and private events. Major Responsibilities: Greet guests, scan tickets upon entry to the venue, answer questions, share The Fox Theatre history, and provide guests directions inside and/or outside the venue with accuracy or personal assistance. Assist and educate guests of Accessible services provided. Direct guests in accordance with venue safety policies and procedures. Comprehend, direct, and implement emergency duties, including, but not limited to venue evacuations. Crowd Management activities include, but are not limited to, directing large and small crowds dictated by operational guidelines. Event Staff will work any of the following positions: ticket scanner, greeter, elevator operator, curtain attendant, restroom "Powderpuff" attendant, Guest Services Stand, Merchandise, and other duties assigned by Guest Experience Management for all events. Monitor assigned area during events; control entry into venue's access points for event spaces, seating, and guest issues, unauthorized use of video or photography equipment, etc. Engage with non-compliant guests to inform required corrective action, contacting management if the situation escalates. Celebrate guest moments and resolve guest complaints or issues. Carry out any job function management assigns and deems appropriate to create a memorable guest experience within the scope of caring and maintaining for the theater, event spaces, guest service, pre-event preparation, and post-event breakdown, guests and Fox staff safety/Emergency Response/Security/Volunteer Ushers. Other duties as directed Requirements Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications: Must have High School Diploma or equivalent - Currently enrolled college students are encouraged to apply; Must be able to handle and remain calm in large crowds, a fast-paced environment, with numerous distractions; Must be able to take and follow directions provided by superiors while delivering superior guest service; Must be an effective communicator and creative thinker, with excellent verbal communication skills; Must be able to work in ambiguous and changing environments; Must be able to work outside, in adverse weather conditions; Must be Resolution Oriented and comfortable with decision-making; A strong guest service and service recovery background is preferred; A passion for the arts, music, theatre, and/or a love of The Fox and its history is preferred; Experience with the Americans with Disabilities Act in relation to public/live events is preferred; Experience working with mobile ticketing is preferred; 1 or More Years in Hospitality, Customer Service, or Live Entertainment is preferred. Essential Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain stationary at an assigned post or location for extended periods of time; Must be able to traverse the building including moving between multiple floors; Often required to lift materials or equipment, some of which is moderately heavy or awkward. Other Requirements: Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays Successful applicants must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check.
