Job Summary: The Lawn Care/Landscape Care Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of technicians in providing high-quality lawn and landscape services to clients. This role involves supervising the crew's activities, ensuring the efficient execution of tasks, maintaining equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Crew Leader will also be accountable for upholding safety protocols, training new team members, and assisting in the planning of daily schedules.

 

Some of the key responsibilities of a Lawn Care/Landscape Care Crew Leader include:

 

1. Crew Supervision:
2. • Lead and supervise a team of lawn care or landscape Care technicians in daily operations.
   • Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members based on skills and expertise.
   • Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure efficient and effective work performance.
   • Monitor crew productivity and motivate team members to meet performance targets.
3. Operations:
4. • Perform various tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, fertilizing, seeding, and weed control, installing plants, moving soil, installing rock.
   • Ensure that tasks are completed according to quality and safety standards.
   • Operate and maintain various lawn care equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers, skid steers.
   • Assist crew members in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.
5. Client Interaction:
6. • Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
   • Address client concerns, questions, and requests promptly and effectively.
7. Safety and Compliance:
8. • Uphold safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
   • Train crew members on safe equipment operation and proper handling of chemicals.
   • Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used consistently.
9. Schedule Management:
10. • Assist in planning daily schedules and routes for the crew.
    • Monitor progress throughout the day and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion of tasks.
    • Coordinate with the supervisor to allocate resources effectively.
11. Documentation and Reporting:
12. • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked by the crew.
    • Provide reports on crew performance, accomplishments, and challenges to the supervisor.
13. Training and Development:
14. • Train new crew members on company policies, procedures, and job responsibilities.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the crew.
15. Equipment Maintenance:
16. • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and serviced regularly.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department.

 

Qualifications:

· Bi-Lingual

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in horticulture or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in lawn care or landscaping, with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of lawn care/landscape care techniques, equipment operation, and plant health.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
